Travel ED RN in Muncie, IN

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency care in a hospital emergency department in Muncie, Indiana on a 13-week contract. The Level II trauma center has 48 beds that can flex to 62, serves neonates through geriatrics, and sees behavioral health patients daily; first-time travelers are accepted.

• Assess and stabilize emergency patients across the lifespan
• Triage and prioritize adult, pediatric, and behavioral health cases
• Interpret dysrhythmias and respond to rhythm changes
• Start IVs, obtain blood specimens, and assist with phlebotomy
• Monitor procedural sedation, IV vasopressors, and ventilated patients
• Support CPAP/BiPAP use, trauma care, and isolation precautions

• Active Registered Nurse license in Indiana
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC
• 3 years of emergency department experience
• Level II trauma center experience
• CPAP/BiPAP management, ventilated patient care, and procedural sedation monitoring
• Charting system experience

• NIHSS
• Triage experience
• Pediatric emergency department experience
• Behavioral health and trauma case exposure
