Travel ED RN in Mcallen, TX

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide care in a freestanding emergency department on a 13-week contract in McAllen, Texas. The unit has 11 beds, uses Meditech, and manages trauma, POC lab, and precipitous delivery care. Patient flow averages 1:4.

• Triage and assess emergency patients
• Monitor patients and respond to changes
• Establish large bore IV access and obtain blood cultures
• Assist with trauma and emergency response care
• Support POC lab testing and document in Meditech

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• More than 2 years of FSED or ED experience
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, NIHSS, and CPI
• Proficiency with tough sticks, large bore IVs, blood cultures, triage, and monitoring

• Ability to work with minimal oversight
