Travel ED RN in Lillington, NC

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency care in a short-term acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Lillington, North Carolina. The unit serves neonates through geriatrics, has 22 beds, and uses Epic. It is a Level III trauma center and teaching hospital with a 1:4 ratio, and first-time travelers are welcome.

• Assess and triage patients across the life span
• Administer emergency medications and blood products as ordered
• Start and maintain IV access and assist with central line care
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and obtain 12-lead ECGs
• Support care for overdose, dysrhythmia, and suicidal patient presentations
• Coordinate with respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, phlebotomy, and interpretation services

• North Carolina Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, CPI, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale
• 3 years of emergency department experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Blood product administration, central line care, dysrhythmia management, 12-lead ECGs, IV starts, and emergency medications
• Prior travel experience

• NRP and TNCC
• Arterial line management and multisystem organ dysfunction or failure care
• Previous charge experience
