Travel ED RN in Asheville, NC

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency care in an emergency care center in Asheville, North Carolina on a 13-week contract. The unit uses Cerner, serves medical patients and behavioral holds, and typically staffs at 4:1, with up to 7:1 on behavioral holds. It functions as a Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center.

• Assess emergency patients and prioritize care
• Administer medications and carry out provider orders
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to changes
• Document care and patient responses in Cerner
• Coordinate with the care team to maintain throughput
• Support behavioral hold patients and de-escalation needs
• Reinforce patient education and respectful communication

• North Carolina Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS before start
• ENPC within 90 days of hire
• 2 years of nursing experience, including 1 year in an emergency room setting
• Experience in a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume emergency department
• Teamwork mindset and real-time coaching and feedback skills

• Prior emergency department experience in a similar hospital setting
