Travel ED RN in Eureka, CA

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency care in an acute care hospital on a 26-week contract in Eureka, California. The unit cares for all ages, including ER hold patients in observation, and uses Epic. First-time travelers are welcome, and the department has Level III trauma support and EDAP.

• Triage and prioritize emergency patients across all age groups
• Assess, stabilize, and monitor patients with medical, trauma, neurologic, and behavioral emergencies
• Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and emergency treatments as ordered
• Support airway care, procedural sedation, and resuscitation efforts
• Manage dysrhythmias, stroke care, and psychiatric or violent behavior situations
• Coordinate care with respiratory therapy, phlebotomy, radiology, and other support teams

• Current California Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC
• 1 year of emergency department experience
• Emergency care skills in triage, IV starts, airway support, dysrhythmia interpretation, and behavioral health situations

• ENPC
• Experience with burns, seizures, respiratory emergencies, and behavioral health conditions
• Community hospital experience
