Travel ED RN in Eureka, CA

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will care for emergency patients in an acute care hospital on a 26-week contract in Eureka, California. The unit has 20 rooms and 26 beds, treats neonates through geriatrics, is Level 3 trauma, and uses Epic. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Triage patients and prioritize emergency care
• Monitor and stabilize patients across adult and pediatric emergency needs
• Administer medications, IV therapy and emergency treatments
• Assist with trauma, stroke, psychiatric and respiratory emergencies
• Support observation care for ER hold patients
• Document assessments, interventions and responses in Epic

• California Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS and TNCC
• 1 year of emergency department experience
• Emergency nursing skills with triage, IV starts, medication administration and dysrhythmia management

• ENPC
• Community hospital experience
