Travel ED RN in Columbia, SC

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency care in a free standing hospital emergency room on a 13-week contract in Columbia, South Carolina. The unit has 14 rooms, serves all age groups, and uses Epic charting.

• Triage and assess patients presenting with urgent and emergent needs
• Administer emergency medications and support IV therapy, blood product administration, and central line care
• Assist with intubation, procedural sedation, and management of dysrhythmias
• Monitor and respond to trauma, neurologic, psychiatric, and respiratory emergencies
• Obtain and interpret 12 lead ECGs and support phlebotomy
• Apply isolation precautions and help manage violent or suicidal patients

• South Carolina Registered Nurse license or compact license in hand prior to start
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• 2 years of emergency department experience
• Community hospital experience
• Epic charting system experience

• BiPAP and CPAP management
• Ventilated patient care and chest tube management
• Trauma center experience and previous charge experience
