Travel ED RN in Apple Valley, CA

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide care in an emergency department holding area on a 13-week contract in Apple Valley, California. Adults and older adults make up the patient mix, with cardiac telemetry and stroke care needs and Epic charting. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Monitor cardiac telemetry and report rhythm changes
• Administer ordered medications and manage infusions per protocol
• Provide oxygen therapy and non-invasive airway support
• Assist with central line, PICC, port, and peripheral IV care
• Support stroke, post-MI, renal, and post-cardiac care needs
• Perform wound, drain, feeding tube, and tracheostomy care
• Respond to rapid response and code events

• Active California Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification
• 2 years of emergency department or telemetry nursing experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Telemetry rhythm interpretation and dysrhythmia management skills
• IV therapy, central line, and non-invasive airway care skills

• Emergency department holding experience
• Previous charge nurse experience
• Teaching hospital experience
• Trauma Level I or II experience
