Travel ED RN in Apple Valley, CA

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency care for mixed-acuity patients in an acute care hospital unit on a 13-week contract in Apple Valley, California. The unit serves neonates through geriatrics and uses Epic charting; it is a stroke receiving and STEMI receiving setting. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Assess patients across all age groups
• Triage and prioritize emergency arrivals
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to dysrhythmias
• Start and maintain IV access
• Administer blood products and support ventilation care
• Apply isolation precautions and coordinate with the care team

• California Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certification
• 1 year of emergency department experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Experience managing 1:4 patient ratios

• TNCC certification
• Community hospital experience
• Triage and trauma experience
• Arterial line and central line management
