Travel CVICU RN in San Antonio, TX

A Travel Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide intensive care for pediatric patients in a hospital unit in San Antonio, Texas on a 13-week contract. The unit has 24 beds, uses Meditech, and cares for a broad ICU population with ventilators, drips, chest tubes, central lines, syringe pumps, trachs, and GTs.

• Monitor critically ill pediatric patients across respiratory, neurologic, cardiac, and other ICU needs
• Provide care for intubated, ventilated, and tracheostomy patients
• Manage drips and support central line and chest tube care
• Assist with sedation and other bedside procedures on the unit
• Communicate changes in patient status with the care team
• Document assessments and interventions in the electronic medical record

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• PALS certification
• ICU level of care experience
• Intubated and ventilator experience

• ECMO patient care experience
• CRRT experience
