Travel CVICU RN in Dallas, TX

A Travel Pediatric CVICU Registered Nurse will care for pediatric cardiac patients in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Dallas, Texas. The 27-bed unit uses an acuity-adaptive model for ICU and step-down patients, with 1:1 to 1:3 ratios and Meditech charting.

• Monitor pediatric cardiac patients with congenital heart disease and postoperative needs
• Manage arterial, central, and transthoracic lines
• Assist with intubation, extubation, and conscious sedation
• Support recovery after cardiac and general procedures
• Respond to codes and support ECMO cannulation and decannulation
• Assist with CRRT and manual peritoneal dialysis

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• 1 year of Pediatric CICU/CVICU staff nurse experience
• 2 years of PICU staff nurse experience
• Congenital heart disease and postoperative cardiac care experience
• Arterial, central, and transthoracic line management experience

• 2 or more years of Pediatric CICU/CVICU staff nurse experience
• Neonatal cardiac patient care experience
• Pediatric cardiac step-down or cardiology floor experience
