Travel CVICU RN in Dallas, TX

A Travel Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse will care for pediatric cardiac ICU patients in an acute care hospital on a 13 week contract in Dallas, Texas. The unit uses an acuity adaptive model, blends ICU and step down care, and charts in Meditech. Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:3.

• Monitor pediatric cardiac patients
• Manage arterial, central, and transthoracic lines
• Assist with post operative recovery and sedation
• Support intubation and extubation
• Respond to codes and ECMO support
• Assist with CRRT and manual PD
• Provide chest closure recovery care

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification
• 1 year pediatric CICU/CVICU staff nurse experience
• 2 years minimum PICU staff nurse experience
• 3 to 4 dedicated pediatric CICU contracts
• Congenital heart disease and line management experience

• 2 years or more pediatric CICU/CVICU staff nurse experience
• Neonatal cardiac preoperative and postoperative care experience
• Pediatric cardiac step down or cardiology floor experience
