Travel CVICU RN in Dallas, TX

A Travel Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse will care for children with congenital heart disease and postoperative cardiac needs in a hospital in Dallas, Texas on a 13-week contract. The 27-bed unit uses Meditech, serves ICU and step-down patients, and works with ratios from 1:1 to 1:3.

• Monitor pediatric cardiac patients with changing acuity and respond to clinical deterioration
• Manage arterial and central line care and support postoperative recovery
• Assist with intubation, extubation, sedation, and stabilization after cardiac procedures
• Provide care during ECMO, CRRT, and other advanced therapies
• Coordinate bedside care for congenital heart disease and step-down continuity
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic record

• Active Registered Nurse license for Texas
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• 1 year of pediatric CICU/CVICU staff nurse experience
• 2 years of PICU staff nurse experience
• Experience with congenital heart disease and postoperative cardiac care
• Experience with arterial, central, and transthoracic lines

• 2 years or more of pediatric CICU/CVICU staff nurse experience
• Neonatal cardiac patient experience
• Pediatric cardiac step-down or cardiology floor experience
• Experience in a dedicated pediatric CICU
