Travel CVICU RN in Lubbock, TX

A Travel Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide adult cardiac and neuro critical care in a short term acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Lubbock, Texas. The unit has 16 beds, 1:2 ratios and sits in a Level II trauma center.

• Monitor hemodynamics and cardiac rhythms
• Manage ventilated patients and oxygen support
• Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Care for lines, drains and chest tubes
• Support post cardiac surgery and neurocritical care
• Interpret ABGs, labs and dysrhythmias

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS and NIHSS
• 2 years of CVICU experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Critical care skills with ventilators, arterial lines, central lines, chest tubes and vasoactive drips
• Proficiency in CV and Neuro ICU skills

• CRRT and Impella experience
• Trauma ICU experience
• Experience with renal failure, liver failure and massive transfusion protocol
