Travel CVICU RN in Salem, VA

A Travel CVICU Registered Nurse will provide critical cardiac care in an acute care hospital in Salem, Virginia on a 13-week contract. The 12-bed unit uses Meditech and cares for cardiac critical patients with 1:1 to 3:1 ratios. Advanced cardiac monitoring and support equipment are part of the daily environment.

• Monitor critically ill cardiac patients and respond to changing conditions
• Assist with hemodynamic monitoring, invasive lines and advanced cardiac support equipment
• Support post-cath care, sheath removal, temporary pacing and SLED
• Provide bedside tracheostomy care and assist with other complex procedures
• Document assessments, treatments and patient responses in the electronic record
• Work closely with the care team to maintain safe, coordinated care

• Virginia Registered Nurse license
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• ICU experience

• Cardiac experience
• CCRN certification
