Travel CVICU RN in Reston, VA

A Travel Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse will care for fresh cardiac surgery patients in an acute care hospital in Reston, Virginia on a 13-week contract. The 4-bed unit uses Meditech Expanse and sees immediate post-surgical patients at 1:1 and POD 1-3 patients at 1:2.

• Provide direct care for fresh cardiac surgery patients
• Monitor hemodynamic status and respond to changes
• Manage postoperative recovery and cardiac support therapies
• Assist with mechanical circulatory device care
• Document assessments and interventions in Meditech Expanse
• Collaborate with the cardiac surgery team on plan of care

• Virginia Registered Nurse license
• ACLS
• 1-2 years of fresh cardiac surgery experience in direct primary recovery
• Intra-aortic balloon pump and Impella experience
• Hemodynamic monitoring experience with Hemosphere or Acumen
