Travel CVICU RN in Reston, VA

A Travel CVICU Registered Nurse will provide direct care for fresh cardiac surgery patients in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Reston, Virginia. The unit uses Meditech Expanse and sees immediate post-surgical and postoperative day 1-3 patients with ratios of 1:1 and 1:2.

• Provide direct care for fresh cardiac surgery patients
• Monitor hemodynamic status and cardiac rhythms
• Assist with post-surgical stabilization and recovery
• Support mechanical circulatory assist devices and invasive monitoring
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient response
• Collaborate with surgeons and the critical care team

• Virginia Registered Nurse license
• ACLS certification
• 1-2 years of fresh cardiac surgery direct primary recovery experience
• Balloon pump and Impella experience
• Hemosphere or Acumen training
• Critical care assessment and rhythm interpretation skills
