Travel Charge Nurse RN in Asheville, NC

A Travel Charge Nurse Registered Nurse will lead care for admitted patients in a clinical decision unit on a 13-week contract in Asheville, North Carolina. The 40-bed unit cares for step-down and medical-surgical patients and uses Cerner charting and Baxter IV pumps. Focus is ED decompression and timely admissions.

• Coordinate admission assessments and medication reconciliation
• Initiate acute care orders and support patient safety
• Prioritize care for step-down and medical-surgical patients
• Lead charge nurse flow and clinical decision making
• Communicate with the care team to support throughput
• Assist with telemetry monitoring and other unit duties as needed

• North Carolina Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Graduation from an accredited Registered Nurse program

• 2 years of recent medical-surgical, telemetry, and step-down/PCU experience
• Charge nurse experience
• Cerner charting experience
