Travel Charge Nurse RN in Asheville, NC

A Travel Charge Nurse Registered Nurse will lead care in a hospital emergency department in Asheville, North Carolina on a 13-week contract. The unit serves medical patients and behavioral holds, uses Cerner, and typically staffs 4:1 with some 7:1 assignments. It is a Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center.

• Lead emergency department flow and coordinate charge nurse coverage
• Prioritize patient care based on acuity and evolving needs
• Assign staff and support care across emergency department sections
• Coach team members and reinforce safe, respectful communication
• Support assessments, monitoring, and emergency interventions at the bedside
• Communicate patient status changes and keep documentation current

• North Carolina Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS before start
• ENPC within 90 days of hire
• 2 years of nursing experience, including 1 year in an emergency department
• Experience in a Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center
• Strong teamwork, coaching, and real-time feedback skills

• Experience in a large health system emergency department
