Travel Charge Nurse RN in Austin, TX

A Travel Charge Nurse Registered Nurse will coordinate operating room nursing care in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Austin, Texas. The unit has 22 operating rooms, a 1:1 ratio, and Meditech charting. It is not a trauma hospital and supports a broad surgical mix.

• Coordinate charge nurse coverage across the operating room
• Support circulating and perioperative nursing care
• Assign staff and balance room readiness
• Communicate with surgeons, anesthesia, and surgical techs
• Monitor patient safety and workflow during cases
• Assist with a broad mix of surgical services
• Document care and handoffs as needed

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Operating room nursing and charge leadership skills

• Orthopedic surgical experience
• Neurosurgical experience
• Robotic surgery experience
