Travel Charge Nurse RN in Live Oak, TX

A Travel Charge Nurse Registered Nurse will lead emergency care in a hospital emergency department on a 13-week contract in Live Oak, Texas. The unit has 48 headwalls, about 25 additional treatment spaces, and acuity-based ratios. Meditech is used, and the setting relies on emergency, trauma, and critical care equipment.

• Coordinate patient flow and assignments in the emergency department
• Perform rapid assessments and recognize changes in condition
• Support trauma, stroke, sepsis, and resuscitation care
• Assist with moderate sedation, RSI, CPR, blood transfusion, and TNK administration
• Monitor cardiac status and obtain IV or IO access
• Collaborate with paramedics, techs, clerks, and the care team

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC or PALS, and CPI certifications
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

• 2+ years of high-volume emergency department experience
• Trauma experience in a level 1 or 2 trauma center
