Travel Telemetry RN in Asheville, NC

A Travel Telemetry Registered Nurse will care for surgical patients on a general surgery unit during a 13-week contract in Asheville, North Carolina. The 44-bed unit sees urology and bowel patients, uses Cerner, and works with 1:6 day and 1:7 night ratios.

• Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond to changes in patient status
• Assess postoperative surgical patients and report concerns to the care team
• Administer IV medications, antibiotics, TPN, and heparin drips as ordered
• Manage PCA therapy, wound vacs, tube feeds, ostomies, and urinary catheters
• Coordinate care with CNAs, providers, and the unit secretary
• Document assessments, treatments, and patient responses in Cerner

• North Carolina Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• Telemetry competency
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Strong assessment, prioritization, and communication skills

• Urology and bowel patient care experience
• TPN, PCA, and wound vac management
• Tube feed, PEG tube, and NG tube care
• Drain, ostomy, heparin drip, and IV antibiotic experience
