Travel Surgical Tech in Santa Rosa, CA

A Travel Surgical Technologist will support outpatient surgery cases in a hospital on a 13-week contract in Santa Rosa, California. The unit serves adolescents, adults, pediatrics and geriatrics in a 4-room OR, uses Epic, and supports ortho, neuro and vascular cases. First-time travelers are welcome, and free parking is available.

• Prepare the operating room and surgical instruments
• Assist with outpatient ortho, neuro and vascular procedures
• Maintain aseptic technique and a sterile field
• Handle drills, cameras and light cords for ortho and arthroscopy cases
• Pass instruments and supplies to the surgical team
• Support counts, room turnover and case cleanup

• BLS
• 1 year of surgical tech experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Experience with outpatient, community hospital, ortho, neuro and vascular cases
• Aseptic technique

• NBSTSA certification
• Ambulatory OR experience
• General OR experience
• Trauma and advanced vascular case exposure
