Travel Surgical Tech in Apple Valley, CA

A Travel Surgical Tech Certified Surgical Technologist will assist in a hospital operating room and outpatient surgery center on a 13-week contract in Apple Valley, California. The unit has 6 surgical suites, uses Epic, and sees adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients across general, orthopedic, spine, total joint, gynecologic, urologic, vascular, and robotic cases.

• Scrub for general, orthopedic, spine, total joint, gynecologic, urologic, vascular, and robotic cases
• Prepare the sterile field, instruments, and supplies for each procedure
• Assist the surgeon with intraoperative tasks and exposure during cases
• Maintain aseptic technique and support universal protocol and safety practices
• Handle specimens, sharps, and counts according to operating room standards
• Set up and break down case carts and support turnover between procedures

• Certified Surgical Technologist credential
• Current BLS certification
• NBSTSA or NCCT national certification
• 2 years of surgical technologist experience
• Spine and total joint case experience

• Epic charting experience
• Robotic case experience
• SPD support experience
• Outpatient surgery center experience
