Travel Sterile Processing Tech in North Charleston, SC

A Travel Sterile Processing Technician will decontaminate, assemble, wrap, and sterilize surgical instruments in a hospital sterile processing unit on a 13-week contract in North Charleston, South Carolina. The role supports a Level I Trauma, teaching, Magnet setting with patients from infants through geriatrics.

• Decontaminate surgical instruments and reusable equipment
• Assemble and wrap sets and trays
• Operate washers, sterilizers, and disinfection systems
• Reprocess scopes and probes
• Prepare cleaning equipment and sterile supplies
• Support instrument handling across surgical service lines

• CBSPD or HSPA certification
• 2 years of sterile processing experience
• Trauma Level I hospital experience
• Teaching hospital experience
• Experience in an acute hospital or ambulatory surgery center

• Biological and chemical indicator use
• Immediate-use steam sterilization
• Sterile Processing Microsystem experience
