Travel Speech Language Pathologist in Anchorage, AK

A Travel Speech Language Pathologist will provide outpatient care in a hospital for a 13-week contract in Anchorage, Alaska. The unit serves adults and geriatrics and uses Epic charting. First-time travelers are welcome in a Magnet, Level II trauma hospital.

• Evaluate adult outpatients with speech, language, cognitive, swallowing, and voice concerns
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans and goals
• Provide therapy for dysphagia, dysarthria, CVA, TBI, and degenerative conditions
• Educate patients and families on compensatory strategies and home programs
• Document assessments, reassessments, plans of care, and progress in Epic
• Collaborate with the care team on discharge planning and continuity of care

• Alaska Speech Language Pathologist license
• BLS
• 1 year of adult outpatient speech-language pathology experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Evaluation, treatment, reassessment, and discharge planning skills

• Modified Barium Swallow Studies
• Augmentative and alternative communication
• Fluency disorders
• Laryngectomy care
