Travel Psychiatric RN in Asheville, NC

A Travel Psychiatric Registered Nurse will provide care for adult and geriatric behavioral health patients in a hospital psychiatric unit on a 13-week contract in Asheville, North Carolina. The unit has 9 beds, uses Cerner, and typically sees 5:9 patient ratios. Behavioral health and medical experience are valued in this setting.

• Assess patients and monitor behavioral health and medical needs
• Administer vital signs, blood draws, and bladder scans
• Support rapid response and code blue situations
• Use de-escalation techniques to maintain a safe environment
• Collaborate with the care team and document in Cerner

• North Carolina Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• Behavioral health and medical experience
• Assessment, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
