Travel Psychiatric RN in Asheville, NC

A Travel Psychiatric Registered Nurse will care for geriatric patients in an adult psych unit on a 13-week contract in Asheville, North Carolina. The unit has 9 beds, uses Cerner, and typically sees 5:1 to 9:1 patient ratios. Compassion, de-escalation, and team-focused care matter most.

• Assess behavioral and medical status
• Monitor vital signs and safety needs
• Perform bladder scans and blood draws
• Respond to rapid response and code blue events
• Support therapeutic care for geriatric psych patients
• Coordinate with RNs, BHTs, and sitters to maintain a safe unit

• North Carolina Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• Behavioral health and medical experience
• Assessment, critical thinking, and team collaboration skills

• De-escalation skills
• Flexibility in a behavioral health setting
