Travel Psychiatric RN in Asheville, NC

A Travel Psychiatric Registered Nurse will provide inpatient behavioral health care in a hospital unit in Asheville, North Carolina on a 13-week contract. The setting supports therapeutic communication, medication management, and patient safety in a Magnet-designated hospital.

• Assess psychiatric symptoms and safety needs
• Deliver therapeutic nursing care in a behavioral health setting
• Administer medications and monitor patient response
• Support de-escalation and crisis intervention
• Document assessments, care plans, and progress
• Collaborate with the care team on treatment goals
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic milieu

• Active North Carolina Registered Nurse license
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Psychiatric nursing assessment and therapeutic communication skills
• Medication administration and patient safety skills
• Electronic charting experience
• Inpatient psychiatric care skills
