Travel Psychiatric RN in Asheville, NC

A Travel Psychiatric Registered Nurse will provide inpatient care for behavioral health patients in a hospital unit on a 13-week contract in Asheville, North Carolina. The hospital is Magnet designated and a comprehensive stroke center.

• Assess psychiatric symptoms, mood, and safety risk
• Monitor the therapeutic milieu and patient behavior
• Administer medications and evaluate patient response
• Support de-escalation and crisis intervention
• Collaborate with the care team on treatment plans
• Document assessments, interventions, and progress
• Educate patients and families on care plans

• North Carolina Registered Nurse license
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Psychiatric nursing assessment skills
• Medication administration and patient safety skills
• Therapeutic communication and de-escalation skills
