Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Olympia, WA

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide care in a short term acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Olympia, Washington. The unit serves adults and geriatrics with ratios of 1:4-6 and Epic charting.

• Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias
• Administer cardiac and vasoactive drips as ordered
• Provide care for ventilated and tracheostomy patients
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, IV access, and blood products
• Support patients with stroke, renal failure, and seizure disorders
• Coordinate staffing, bed flow, and general unit care in charge capacity
• Respond to rapid response and code situations

• Washington Registered Nurse license
• Three years of progressive care, telemetry, or step-down experience in the United States
• Charge nurse experience
• Cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, and drip management skills
• Ventilator, tracheostomy, central line, and PICC line care skills
• Blood product administration, IV therapy, and isolation precaution proficiency

• ACLS and NIHSS
• Continuous bladder irrigation and epidural analgesia
• IV insulin protocols and vasoactive drip titration
• Pacemaker, wound care, and trauma care experience
