Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Newport, VT

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide care for PCU, MedSurg and telemetry patients in a critical access hospital on a 13-week contract in Newport, Vermont. The role requires independent practice and charge nurse responsibilities in a small hospital setting.

• Provide direct nursing care for progressive care, medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor patient status and respond to changes in condition
• Administer medications and complete ordered treatments
• Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team
• Use charge nurse judgment when assigned
• Document assessments, interventions and patient responses

• ACLS certification
• BLS/BCLS certification
• Active Vermont Registered Nurse license upon acceptance
• 5 years of Progressive Care Unit, MedSurg or telemetry experience
• Ability to work independently and perform charge nurse duties
