Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Denton, TX

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will care for surgical trauma and stepdown patients in an acute care hospital in Denton, Texas on a 13-week contract. It is a 25-bed unit in a level 2 trauma center with Meditech charting and telemetry monitoring.

• Monitor telemetry and frequent vital signs
• Assess surgical trauma, neuro, cardiac, and respiratory patients
• Administer and titrate ordered IV medications and drips
• Support post-op and medically complex stepdown care
• Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team
• Document assessments, interventions, and responses in the chart

• Active Texas Registered Nurse license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale credentials
• Acute care telemetry and progressive care nursing skills
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Trauma or orthopedic experience
• Meditech charting experience
