Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Cookeville, TN

A Travel Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse will care for adult patients in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Cookeville, Tennessee. The 32-bed unit averages 32 patients daily and uses telemetry with continuous vital sign monitoring.

• Monitor cardiac stepdown patients and respond to changes in rhythm and condition
• Administer oxygen support, BiPAP, CPAP, and high flow nasal cannula therapy
• Manage IV access, central lines, PICC lines, and heparin protocols
• Provide care before and after cardiac angiograms, catheterizations, and surgery
• Assess ABGs, dysrhythmias, chest tubes, feeding tubes, and renal failure needs
• Administer blood products, perform phlebotomy, and support rapid response teams

• Active Registered Nurse license in Tennessee
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• 2 years of cardiac stepdown or progressive care experience
• Experience with telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, and ABG interpretation
• Experience with BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC, oxygen therapy, and noninvasive airway support
• Prior travel experience
