Travel Post Partum RN in Wichita, KS

A Travel Postpartum Registered Nurse will provide care for postpartum mothers and newborns on a 13-week contract in Wichita, Kansas. The unit cares for high-risk patients, uses Meditech and CPN charting, and typically staffs 3:4 couplets per Registered Nurse. It is a busy, close-knit setting with strong team support.

• Provide postpartum care for mothers and newborns
• Monitor couplets and respond to changes in maternal status
• Support breastfeeding and newborn feeding education
• Manage glucose monitoring and hypertension assessment
• Assist with postpartum hemorrhage care
• Assist with circumcision care
• Document care in the electronic record

• Kansas Registered Nurse license
• 1 year of current postpartum hospital experience
• BLS certification
• NRP certification
• Postpartum assessment and patient education skills

• High-risk postpartum experience
• Level 2 nursery experience
