Travel Post Partum RN in Mckinney, TX

A Travel Postpartum Registered Nurse will care for postpartum patients in a hospital unit on a 13-week contract in McKinney, Texas. The 25-bed unit serves postpartum moms and GYN surgery patients, with typical ratios of 1:5-6 and charting in Meditech and CPN.

• Monitor postpartum recovery, bleeding, pain, and vital signs
• Provide care for postpartum moms and GYN surgery patients
• Administer medications and support routine postpartum treatment plans
• Assist with feeding support, bonding, and family education
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in charting systems
• Collaborate with the care team to prioritize safe patient flow
• Recognize changes in condition and escalate concerns promptly

• Current Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• NRP certification
• Mother baby experience
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
