Travel PICU RN in Lubbock, TX

A Travel Pediatric Intensive Care Registered Nurse will care for critically ill infants, children, adolescents, and neonates in a children’s hospital level II pediatric trauma center on a 13-week contract in Lubbock, Texas. The 18-bed PICU uses Epic and a 1:2 ratio. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Monitor critically ill pediatric patients
• Manage ventilated patients and noninvasive respiratory support
• Administer continuous sedation and IV vasopressors
• Assist with central line, implanted line, and PICC care
• Interpret ABGs and dysrhythmias
• Maintain suctioning and isolation precautions

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• PALS certification
• 1 year of PICU experience
• Epic charting system experience

• Intubation assistance and ventilator management
• Hemodynamic, ICP, and EVD monitoring
• Chest tube and PICC line management
