Travel PICU RN in Asheville, NC

A Travel Pediatric Intensive Care Registered Nurse will provide critical care for pediatric patients in a hospital unit in Asheville, North Carolina on a 16-week contract. The unit has 9 beds, uses Cerner, and serves as a Magnet-designated pediatric intensive care setting with 1:1 to 1:2 ratios.

• Monitor pediatric patients with complex and changing conditions
• Administer critical care treatments and medications
• Assist with ventilator management and tracheostomy care
• Perform IV starts and central line dressing changes
• Support tube feeding, lumbar punctures and intracranial pressure monitoring
• Document assessments, interventions and responses in the chart
• Collaborate with the care team to stabilize and plan care

• North Carolina Registered Nurse license
• PALS certification
• 1 year of PICU experience
• Strong pediatric critical care assessment skills
