Travel Physical Therapist in Portland, IN

A Travel Physical Therapist will provide outpatient rehabilitation care in a hospital setting on a 13-week contract in Portland, Indiana. The caseload includes ortho, neuro, gait and balance, and pre- and post-op surgical patients across adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, with Cerner charting and 12 visits per day. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Evaluate outpatient therapy patients and plan care
• Deliver therapeutic exercise, therapeutic activities, and gait training
• Apply manual therapy and soft tissue mobilization techniques
• Support neuro re-education, balance training, and pain management
• Educate patients and families on home exercise and safety
• Document visits and progress in Cerner
• Coordinate care with the rehabilitation team

• BLS
• 1 year of physical therapy experience
• Indiana Physical Therapist license, pending at start accepted
• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program

• Cerner charting system experience
• Orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation experience
• Gait training and manual therapy skills
