Travel Pharmacist in Independence, MO

A Travel Pharmacist will support medication dispensing, compounding, and inventory workflow in an acute care hospital pharmacy unit in Independence, Missouri, for a 26-week contract. The unit uses a decentralized pharmacist model and Meditech, with Pyxis ES and Dose Edge supporting daily medication access.

• Prepare and dispense medications for inpatient care
• Refill Pyxis ES machines and code blue trays
• Compound sterile and non-sterile medications
• Package unit dose medications accurately and efficiently
• Answer phones and coordinate with pharmacy technicians
• Support first-dose preparation and pharmacist workflow

• Current active Missouri Pharmacist license in good standing
• Graduation from an accredited pharmacy program
• Medication distribution, compounding, and dispensing skills

• Familiarity with Pyxis ES, Meditech, and Dose Edge
