Travel Pharmacist in Independence, MO

A Travel Pharmacist will provide medication management in an acute care hospital in Independence, Missouri on a 26-week contract. The unit follows a decentralized pharmacist model and uses Meditech, Pyxis ES, and Dose Edge. Work includes sterile and non-sterile compounding and support for medication distribution.

• Verify medication orders and support safe dispensing
• Prepare first doses and refill medication cabinets
• Perform sterile and non-sterile compounding
• Package unit-dose medications and refill code blue trays
• Answer medication-related calls and assist pharmacists and technicians
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic system

• Active Missouri Pharmacist license
• Pharmacy degree from an accredited program
• Experience with sterile and non-sterile compounding
• Strong medication safety and dispensing skills

• Pyxis ES experience
• Meditech experience
• Dose Edge experience
