Travel Pharmacist in Alturas, CA

A Travel Retail Pharmacist will provide retail pharmaceutical services in Alturas, California, for an 8 week contract. The role supports prescription review, dispensing, counseling when accepted, inventory control, and controlled substance security in a retail pharmacy setting.

• Review prescriptions for accuracy and ingredients
• Compound and dispense medications and pharmaceuticals
• Direct pharmacy staff with mixing, packaging, and labeling
• Counsel customers on dosage, interactions, side effects, and storage when accepted
• Maintain files, inventory, charge records, and third party Rx issue resolution
• Enforce quality assurance, controlled substance security, and hazardous waste disposal
• Report medication errors and support policy compliance

• Active California pharmacist license
• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. from an accredited college of pharmacy
• Current BLS certification
• 3 years of pharmacy experience
• Continuing education hours required for pharmacist practice
