Travel PACU RN in Windsor, VT

A Travel Post Anesthesia Care Registered Nurse will provide recovery care for adult and geriatric surgical patients in same day surgery, in a 13-week contract in Windsor, Vermont. The unit has 8 bays, uses Cerner, and handles mostly outpatient procedures with limited inpatient care. The role supports admission, discharge, Phase I and Phase II recovery, and operating room assistance as needed.

• Admit and discharge surgical and procedure patients
• Complete nursing admission assessments
• Provide Phase I and Phase II post-anesthesia recovery care
• Monitor recovery status, IV therapy, and patient comfort
• Assist in the operating room as needed
• Educate patients and coordinate with nursing and physician colleagues

• Active Vermont Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• Compact multistate Registered Nurse license accepted
• Strong assessment, IV, multitasking, and patient education skills

• PACU experience
• ICU experience
