About this job

A Travel Post Anesthetic Care Registered Nurse will provide recovery care in a surgery center on a 13-week contract in Lone Tree, Colorado. The unit uses SIS and paper charting, has 20 staff, and follows a 2:1 patient ratio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor patients during post-anesthesia recovery
  • Assess airway, pain, nausea, and vital signs
  • Support recovery from general and specialty surgical cases
  • Manage ordered medications and treatments
  • Prepare patients for safe transfer or discharge
  • Communicate changes in condition with the surgical team

Qualifications

  • Current Colorado Registered Nurse license
  • Minimum 1 year of PACU experience
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS certification
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program

Preferred Skills

  • GI recovery experience
  • Pain recovery experience
