Travel PACU RN in Englewood, CO

A Travel Post Anesthetic Care Registered Nurse will care for post-surgical patients in an acute care hospital in Englewood, Colorado on a 13-week contract. The unit has 17 pre/post bays, uses Meditech, and serves mostly orthopedic and general surgery patients with pre-op 1:2, Phase 1 1:1, and Phase 2 2:2 ratios.

• Monitor patients in Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery
• Assess airway status, vital signs, pain, and readiness for transfer
• Support pre-op preparation and post-anesthesia recovery for surgical patients
• Administer ordered medications and assist with IV and glucose management
• Document patient status and recovery progress in the EMR
• Communicate changes in condition and coordinate transfer to the next level of care

• Current Colorado Registered Nurse license
• Minimum 1 year of current PACU experience
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program

• Knowledge of PT/OT instructions for joint patients
• Bedside teaching experience
