Travel PACU RN in Austin, TX

A Travel Post Anesthetic Care Registered Nurse will care for post-anesthesia patients in a recovery unit on a 13-week contract in Austin, Texas. The unit has 10 beds, a 2:1 ratio, and uses Meditech. Glucometers, monitors, and bladder ultrasound support routine post-op monitoring.

• Monitor post-anesthesia patients during recovery
• Assess vital signs, pain, and airway status
• Support recovery after ortho, neuro, GU, ENT, and gynecology procedures
• Prepare patients for transfer to the next level of care
• Document care and changes in Meditech
• Collaborate with the charge nurse and recovery team to manage a busy unit

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• Post-anesthesia recovery nursing skills
