Travel Orthopedics RN in Santa Rosa, CA

A Travel Orthopedics Registered Nurse will care for adult orthopedic, spine, and trauma patients in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Santa Rosa, California. The unit uses Epic, has 22 rooms and 41 beds, and follows a 1:5 assignment ratio. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Monitor adult orthopedic, spine, and multitrauma patients
• Assist with postoperative care after total joint and other orthopedic surgeries
• Track telemetry and respond to changes in patient status
• Support oxygen therapy, IV therapy, and line care
• Perform wound care and manage wound vacs
• Administer blood products and coordinate with rapid response teams
• Reinforce mobility, safety, and discharge planning with the care team

• California Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• 1 year of orthopedic nursing experience
• Adult acute care, telemetry, and IV therapy skills

• Port access and management
• Chest tube, continuous bladder irrigation, lumbar drain, and traction care
• High flow nasal cannula and substance withdrawal experience
• Trauma Level II experience
