Travel Orthopedics RN in Santa Rosa, CA

A Travel Orthopedic Registered Nurse will care for adult orthopedic, spine, and multitrauma patients in an acute care hospital for a 13-week contract in Santa Rosa, California. The unit has 22 rooms, 41 beds, a 1:5 ratio, and uses Epic. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Provide postoperative care for orthopedic and spine surgical patients
• Monitor adult multitrauma and med/surg overflow patients
• Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies
• Manage central lines, PICCs, feeding tubes, and peripheral access
• Support remote telemetry and respond to patient changes
• Perform wound care, wound vac care, and isolation precautions

• California Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• 1 year of orthopedic nursing experience
• Adult surgical, trauma, and telemetry care skills
• IV therapy, central line, PICC, and peripheral access skills
• Wound care, blood product administration, PCA, oxygen therapy, BiPAP/CPAP, and rapid response support skills

• Port access and management
• Chest tube, CBI, HFNC, lumbar drain, and traction experience
• Substance withdrawal care
• Trauma Level II experience
