Travel NICU RN in San Antonio, TX

A Travel Neonatal Intensive Care Registered Nurse will care for newborns in a hospital unit in San Antonio, Texas on a 13-week contract. This 24-bed unit uses Meditech and commonly cares for infants with trachs, home ventilators, feeding pumps, central lines, chest tubes, and high flow nasal cannulas; typical ratios are 3:1 or 4:1.

• Monitor newborns with changing acuity and respond to clinical needs
• Provide care for infants using high flow nasal cannulas, trachs, and home ventilators
• Assist with central line care, chest tube management, and feeding support
• Administer medications and maintain accurate charting in the electronic record
• Collaborate with the care team to support safe neonatal care

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• Basic Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certifications
• Neonatal intensive care experience
• Experience with trach and home ventilator care
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
