Travel NICU RN in Pomona, CA

A Travel Neonatal Intensive Care Registered Nurse will provide care for neonates and infants in a hospital on a 13-week contract in Pomona, California. The unit serves sick newborns with a 35-patient average daily census and 53 beds. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Provide nursing care for sick neonates and newborns
• Monitor assessments, vital signs, and changes in condition
• Support ventilator care, CPAP, BIPAP, and oxygen therapy
• Manage feedings and oral, nasogastric, and nasojejunal tubes
• Maintain arterial, central, UAC, and UVC lines
• Administer ordered IV vasopressors, surfactants, and steroids
• Interpret neonatal dysrhythmias and follow isolation precautions

• California Registered Nurse license
• BLS and NRP
• 1 year of NICU experience, NICU III and NICU IV experience, and care for neonates under 24-28 weeks
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management, ventilator management with AC, PC, SIMV, CPAP, BIPAP, and PEEP, feedings, tube management, line care, IV vasopressor support, surfactant and steroid care, neonatal abstinence care, isolation precautions, and charting system experience
