Travel NICU RN in Apple Valley, CA

A Travel Neonatal Intensive Care Registered Nurse will care for neonates in a level III NICU at an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Apple Valley, California. The unit has 14 beds, uses Epic, and serves premature and medically complex newborns.

• Monitor and stabilize neonates with respiratory distress, sepsis, jaundice, and hypoglycemia
• Assist with intubations, lumbar punctures, central line care, and arterial line management
• Manage ventilatory support, CPAP, BIPAP, and high frequency ventilation
• Titrate ordered medications, including dopamine, dobutamine, fentanyl, and versed
• Provide feedings, thermoregulation, developmental care, and family education
• Support phototherapy, blood glucose checks, and isolation precautions

• California Registered Nurse license
• BLS and NRP Advanced
• 2 years of Registered Nurse experience, including 1 year in specialty
• Level III NICU experience
• Community hospital experience
• Epic charting system experience

• Charge experience
• High-risk delivery support
• Therapeutic hypothermia and nitric oxide
• Administration of blood and blood products
