Travel NICU RN in Lubbock, TX

A Travel Neonatal Intensive Care Registered Nurse will care for neonates in a hospital in Lubbock, Texas on a 26-week contract. The 43-bed level IV NICU has an average daily census of 35, Epic charting, and typical ratios of 1:2-4. It serves neonates with prematurity, respiratory distress, hypoglycemia, sepsis, and surgical needs in a level II pediatric trauma hospital.

• Provide direct care for critically ill neonates in the NICU
• Monitor thermoregulation, glucose levels, and seizure status
• Administer medications, blood products, IV therapy, and neonatal nutrition
• Manage respiratory support, including CPAP, HFNC, ventilators, nitric oxide, and suctioning
• Assist with central lines, UAC/UVC care, arterial lines, phlebotomy, and blood draws
• Support phototherapy, feeds, breastfeeding care, and family teaching
• Coordinate care for prematurity, sepsis, respiratory distress, and surgical neonates

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS and NRP Advanced
• Minimum 2 years of NICU experience
• Epic charting experience
• Neonatal intensive care skills with respiratory support, line care, IV therapy, and medication administration

• Invasive hemodynamic monitoring
• Care for neonates under 24-28 weeks
• NICU IV experience
