Travel NICU RN in Lafayette, IN

A Travel Neonatal Intensive Care Registered Nurse will care for neonates in a level III NICU in Lafayette, Indiana on a 13-week contract. The unit has 12 beds, an average daily census of 8.5, Cerner charting, and first-time travelers are welcome.

• Monitor neonates and respond to changes in condition
• Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapy
• Support respiratory care, oxygen delivery, and suctioning
• Assist with feedings, thermoregulation, and phototherapy
• Perform developmental care and family education
• Assist with lumbar puncture and other neonatal procedures
• Maintain isolation precautions and unit monitoring

• Indiana Registered Nurse license
• Basic Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification
• 1.5 years of NICU or pediatric nursing experience
• Cerner charting system experience
• Experience with neonates in a level III NICU
• Community hospital experience

• NRP Advanced certification
• STABLE certification
• Bubble CPAP experience
• Ventilator management experience
• Teaching hospital experience
